Ingredients:
- 4 medium-sized apples
- 1/2 cup of maple syrup
- 1/4 cup of chopped walnuts
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/4 cup of dried cranberries
- 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter

Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Core the apples with a knife, making sure to create enough space for the filling.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped walnuts, cinnamon, and dried cranberries.
- Fill each apple with the walnut and cranberry mixture, packing it tightly.
- Place the filled apples upright in a baking dish.
- Drizzle maple syrup over each apple and add a small piece of butter on top of each one.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the apples are tender and caramelized.
