Apple Bourbon Bundt Cake


 

Preparation Time:

Ingredients:

  • 200g of all-purpose flour
  • 150g of granulated sugar
  • 100g of brown sugar
  • 5g of baking powder
  • 5g of baking soda
  • 2g of salt
  • 100g of unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 120ml of bourbon
  • 200g of peeled and diced apples
  • 5g of ground cinnamon
  • 60ml of milk
  • 100g of chopped walnuts (optional)
  • 100g of powdered sugar for glaze
  • 30ml of milk for glaze

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Bundt pan
  • Mixing bowls
  • Electric mixer
  • Rubber spatula
  • Cooling rack

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease the Bundt pan with butter and flour.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside.
  • In another bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the bourbon and milk.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Fold in the diced apples and chopped walnuts.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared Bundt pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
  • For the glaze, mix the powdered sugar with milk until smooth. Drizzle over the cooled Bundt cake before serving.
