Spicy Cajun Potato Salad


Preparation Time:

Ingredients:

  • 800g of baby potatoes
  • 3 tablespoons of Cajun seasoning
  • 100g of mayonnaise
  • 50g of sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard
  • 1 small red onion, finely chopped
  • 100g of celery, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 3 tablespoons of fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Cutting board
  • Chef's knife
  • Large pot
  • Colander
  • Mixing bowl
  • Whisk
  • Serving bowl

Instructions:

  • Wash the baby potatoes and place them in a large pot. Cover with salted water and bring to a boil.
  • Once boiling, reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until tender. Drain and let them cool slightly.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, Dijon mustard, Cajun seasoning, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Whisk together until smooth.
  • Cut the cooled potatoes into halves or quarters, depending on size, and add them to the bowl with the dressing.
  • Add the chopped red onion, diced celery, and bell pepper to the bowl and gently mix everything together until well coated.
  • Sprinkle the fresh parsley on top and adjust seasoning if necessary, before serving.
