Copycat Waffles

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract

Instructions:

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  • In another bowl, beat the eggs and then add milk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and almond extract. Mix until smooth.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined; do not overmix, some lumps are okay.
  • Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Pour enough batter into the preheated waffle iron to cover the bottom, close the lid, and cook for about 5 minutes or until the waffle is golden brown and crispy.
  • Carefully remove the waffle and repeat with the remaining batter, keeping the cooked waffles warm in an oven set to low heat as needed.
  • Serve warm with your favorite toppings such as butter, syrup, or fruit.
