The ultimate BLT burgers with honey treacle-glazed bacon, griddled lettuce and smoky tomato mayo

Ingredients:

  • 600g of minced beef
  • 200g of bacon
  • 50g of honey
  • 50g of treacle
  • 1 tablespoon of smoked paprika
  • 4 large lettuce leaves
  • 2 large ripe tomatoes
  • 200g of mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon of smoked paprika
  • 4 burger buns
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Griddle
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Burger Press
  • Knife
  • Spatula
  • Measuring Cups

Instructions:

  • Prepare the honey treacle-glazed bacon by mixing honey and treacle in a bowl, then cooking the bacon on a griddle until crispy, glazing it with the honey-treacle mixture midway through.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the minced beef with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Form into 4 burger patties using the burger press.
  • Grill the burger patties on the griddle until cooked to preference, about 4-5 minutes per side for medium.
  • Halve the tomatoes and season with salt and pepper.
  • On the same griddle, lightly char the lettuce leaves for about 1 minute on each side.
  • For the smoky tomato mayo, blend mayonnaise with smoked paprika until combined and flavorful.
  • Assemble the burgers: spread smoky tomato mayo on the bottom half of each bun, add the burger patty, top with glazed bacon, charred lettuce, and sliced tomatoes. Top with the bun.
