Smoked Salmon Avocado Toast

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices of whole grain bread
  • 200g of smoked salmon
  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons of cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon of capers (optional)
  • Fresh dill for garnish (optional)

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • mixing bowl
  • knife
  • cutting board
  • spatula

Instructions:

  • Toast the slices of whole grain bread until golden brown.
  • While the bread is toasting, cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
  • Add lemon juice, salt, and pepper to the bowl with the avocado and mash until smooth or to your desired consistency.
  • Spread a thin layer of cream cheese onto each slice of toasted bread.
  • Top each piece of bread with a generous amount of the mashed avocado mixture.
  • Arrange the smoked salmon on top of the avocado, folding it elegantly if desired.
  • If using, sprinkle capers and fresh dill over the salmon for an extra burst of flavor.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy your gourmet toast.
