Classic Reuben Sandwich


Preparation Time:

Ingredients:

  • 8 slices of rye bread
  • 400g of corned beef, thinly sliced
  • 200g of sauerkraut, drained
  • 200g of Swiss cheese, sliced
  • 100g of Thousand Island dressing
  • 50g of unsalted butter, softened

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Griddle
  • Knife
  • Cutting Board
  • Spatula

Instructions:

  • Preheat the griddle over medium heat.
  • Spread butter on one side of each slice of rye bread.
  • On the non-buttered side of 4 slices, layer the corned beef, followed by sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and a drizzle of Thousand Island dressing.
  • Top with the remaining slices of bread, buttered side up.
  • Place the sandwiches on the griddle and cook until the bread is golden brown and the cheese begins to melt, about 3-4 minutes per side, flipping carefully.
  • Once cooked, remove from the griddle, slice in half, and serve with additional Thousand Island dressing on the side.
