Ingredients:
- 500g of all-purpose flour
- 10g of baking powder
- 5g of salt
- 30g of sugar
- 60g of unsalted butter (cold)
- 250ml of water (or milk)
- Optional: 100g of dried fruits or herbs for flavor
Kitchen Tools Needed:
- Mixing bowl
- Baking sheet
- Oven
- Rolling pin
- Knife
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- Cut the cold butter into small cubes and add it to the flour mixture, using your fingers to rub it until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gradually add water (or milk) to the mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
- Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead it gently for a few minutes.
- Roll out the dough to about 1.5 cm thickness and shape it into a circle or squares, cutting it into desired serving sizes.
- Place the dough pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- (Optional) Sprinkle dried fruits or herbs on top for added flavor.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
